The transport methods to use when travelling in Toulouse
The Toulouse metro
Two metro lines serve the Toulouse conurbation, line A runs from north-east to south-west and line B runs from north to south. This is an automatic metro (without drivers) with safe platforms, and a third line is due to come into service in 2028 to serve the Toulouse urban area from east to west.
The tramline
Line T1 of the tramway service links the MEETT convention centre to the Palais de Justice station, which is connected to line B of the metro. Note that the T2 tramway service will be interrupted from June 2023 to 2026 due to work on the future metro line C.
Buses and shuttles in the Toulouse conurbation
Linéo buses make it easier for you to get around, as they run on dedicated routes, avoiding traffic jams. More than a hundred bus routes cover the area, and 5 shuttle buses run between the airport, the Stadium, the cemeteries, the town centre and the Ernest Wallon stadium.
The cable car
Toulouse boasts an original mode of transport, with the longest urban cable car in France (3 km). It links Oncopole to Paul Sabatier University via Rangueil hospital.
Cycling
Do you enjoy cycling? Toulouse's urban area has 716 km of cycle facilities and a cycle express network (REV) with dedicated, safe lanes.
With a network like this, you'll have no trouble getting around the Toulouse conurbation. For your convenience, both Appart'Hôtel residences in Toulouse are easily accessible by public transport. The Toulouse Concorde residence is located close to the station and is served by the metro, with the airport shuttle bus just 100 metres away. The Toulouse Saint-Martin residence is served by two bus routes, including route 2, which stops at "Jardinerie".
